Duties Deliver personalized in-person tutoring sessions across elementary, middle, and high school levels, focusing on subjects such as English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Develop and implement customized lesson plans aligned with each student's unique learning styles and educational goals. Utilize a variety of learning technologies and instructional strategies to enhance engagement and comprehension. Assess student progress regularly, adjusting teaching methods to meet evolving needs and ensure continuous improvement. Support students with special education requirements by adapting instructional approaches and providing targeted assistance. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages active participation, motivation, and confidence-building. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other educational professionals to coordinate support strategies and track student development. Skills Strong knowledge of curriculum development across multiple subjects including English language arts, mathematics, science, and test preparation such as SATs. Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and with various learning styles. Proficiency in using learning technology tools for online instruction and classroom management. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey concepts and provide constructive feedback. Demonstrated ability to adapt instruction based on individual student needs and learning preferences. Prior experience in special education or working with children with special needs is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, progress tracking, and maintaining detailed records of student sessions.
