Job Description

Math & ELA Tutor (Part-Time) Position Summary The Math & ELA Tutor will provide targeted academic support to students through one-on-one and small group instruction. The tutor will deliver individualized mathematics and English Language Arts (ELA) interventions designed to improve student achievement and support academic growth in a small school setting. Essential Responsibilities Provide direct instruction in Mathematics and English Language Arts (ELA). Deliver intervention services through one-on-one and small group instruction. Develop and implement lessons that address individual student learning needs. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed. Maintain records of student participation and academic growth. Collaborate with school staff to support student success. Complete lesson preparation and planning to ensure effective instructional delivery. Schedule Monday through Wednesday Two (2) instructional hours per day Additional thirty (30) minutes per day for preparation and planning Morning hours; schedule may be negotiated based on candidate availability Compensation $40.00 per hour Additional Information The school serves approximately 23 students, offering a highly individualized educational environment. Position follows the school calendar, including holidays and scheduled breaks.

Qualifications:
Qualifications New York State certification in Elementary Education or Special Education required. Demonstrated ability to teach both Mathematics and English Language Arts. Experience providing one-on-one or small group academic intervention preferred.
