GENERAL PURPOSE

Molloy's Tutoring Services tutors provide students with individualized assistance for course content and assignments. Subject Tutors lead one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with students to help them understand key concepts of college-level introductory to advanced courses. Review syllabi topics and assignments with the student/s. Assist students with homework, test preparation, and other academic tasks. Assist students in improving their academic performance, including study strategies. Provide students with positive and constructive feedback. Prior tutoring experience would complement this role.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in an applicable academic discipline.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR PUBLIC CONTACT

Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.

SALARY INFORMATION

When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring hourly pay rate for this position is $18.00 to $20.00. This hiring hourly pay rate represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
