Job Description

Mindful Minds Learning Center is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated After-School Teachers or Teacher Assistants to join our team for the Fall- Spring 2026-2027 semester. This on-site role supports K-5th grade students with homework help in Reading, Writing, and Math in a structured, supportive environment.
Position:
After-School Teacher / Teacher Assistant (Spring 2026 Semester)
Location:
On-site Schedule:
Mon to Fri, 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM (or 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM; flexible days)
Job Type:
Part-time Responsibilities:
  • Provide academic support in small groups or one-on-one settings
  • Assist students with homework and skill development aligned to Common Core standards
  • Foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure consistent support and supervision
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with K-5th grade students
  • Knowledge of Common Core NY State Standards (Math and ELA)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Familiarity with NYS Learning Standards, curriculum development, and lesson planning
  • Must be (or be willing to be) fingerprinted by the Department of Education (nomination provided)
  • A self-starter with creativity and the ability to work with limited supervision
  • Demonstrates patience, kindness, and a genuine passion for working with children
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour
