Job Description

Topway Prep's Woodside Branch is seeking a responsible, patient, and dependable After-School Program Tutor for our After school program. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and enjoys helping students grow academically and personally. In this role, you will pick up assigned students from nearby school, escort them safely to the center, assist them with homework, and supervise after-school reading and enrichment activities.

September 14-December 23, 2026
Spring Term:
January 4-June 25, 2027
Days:
Monday-Friday Hours:
2:00 PM-6:00 PM Candidates must be available to work at least three shifts per week . Preference will be given to candidates who can commit to at least one full semester. Responsibilities Arrive on time and be ready for student pickup. Pick up assigned students from nearby schools. Follow all pickup, attendance, and dismissal procedures. Help students complete and understand their homework. Provide additional academic support when needed. Maintain a safe, organized, and positive environment. Read with students and lead enrichment activities after homework is completed. Requirements Previous tutoring, teaching, childcare, or youth-program experience is preferred. Ability to assist students with Math and English Language Arts. Strong communication and classroom-management skills. Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds. Patience, reliability, responsibility, and enthusiasm for working with children. Ability to adapt support based on each student's learning needs. Must be available for at least three afternoon shifts each week. Long-term availability throughout the school year is strongly preferred. This is a paid position for educators and mentors who are passionate about making a positive difference in students' academic and personal development. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
Pay:
$18.00 - $30.00 per hour
