Header Overview We are a new, student-focused tutoring center in Lewis Center, Ohio , dedicated to helping students build strong academic foundations, improve their confidence, and achieve their educational goals. We are looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable English Tutors to join our team and help students from 3rd grade through high school develop their reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and communication skills. This is an excellent opportunity for current or former teachers, education majors, experienced tutors, graduate students, and professionals who enjoy working with students . Duties Provide small-group English instruction to students in grades 3-12. Assess students' strengths and areas for improvement. Develop and deliver engaging lessons appropriate to each student's academic level. Help students improve reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and communication skills. Assist students with school assignments, essays, projects, and test preparation. Prepare students for standardized tests when applicable. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback. Maintain a positive, encouraging, and supportive learning environment. Communicate professionally with parents and center staff regarding student progress. Follow the tutoring center's curriculum, instructional methods, and policies. Qualifications Strong knowledge of English language arts and grammar. Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in Education, English, or a related field. Teaching or tutoring experience. Experience working with K-12 students. Ohio teaching certification is a plus but not required . Experience with standardized test preparation is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with students from elementary through high school. Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed. Reliable, professional, and responsible. Schedule Tutoring hours will primarily be after school, evenings, and weekends , with scheduling flexibility based on student demand and tutor availability.
