Job Description
The Tutor, reporting to the Manager, Academic Support and Dean, Teaching and Learning Support, provides individual and small group tutoring supporting material taught in class. The Tutor facilitates learning, guiding students to become independent learners who successfully meet educational goals. The Tutor will report to the University Partnership, Ridge Campus. Provides one-on-one or small group tutoring in assigned location (i.e. in-person, online, in the classroom); Works with students to support learning of key concepts and study strategies; Provides students with positive and constructive feedback; Maintains accurate records of tutoring sessions; Collaborates with faculty, students, and other stakeholders to support student success; Continuously engages in professional growth and development, including staying current in the curricula, leveraging best practices, and reviewing student feedback; May assist in developing materials to support tutoring in the discipline or student skills; Other duties as assigned by the Manager, Academic Support.
