Position Introduction:
An academic tutor will be asked and expected to tutor student-athletes in various courses. All tutoring will take place in the McClendon Center for Intercollegiate Athletics and will range based on student-athlete need and tutor availability. Tutoring sessions will include 1-3 student-athletes and are expected to last 45 minutes.
Required Education:
Athletics Tutors must meet the skills requirement below. Must attach transcript reflecting minimum grade requirement or degree earned.
Department Preferences:
Must have earned a B or higher in the specific course or have been award a degree in that area. Must be capable of tutoring the courses specified. Must be able to demonstrate ability to effectively communicate course material while engaging with our student-athletes in a positive manner. Must be willing and able to communicate and build relationships with a varied group of students. Must be willing and able to gain and maintain working knowledge of university, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
