As a Dyslexia Tutor, you will develop tailored learning plans, utilize innovative teaching methods, and leverage learning technology to help students overcome reading difficulties and build confidence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on learners' lives while fostering their academic growth and self-esteem. Header Duties Implement customized lesson plans focused on phonological awareness, decoding skills, and reading comprehension for students with dyslexia. Employ evidence-based tutoring techniques and incorporate learning technology tools to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies accordingly to ensure continuous improvement. Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to create cohesive support plans tailored to each student's needs. Manage a positive classroom environment that promotes motivation, confidence, and active participation among learners of various ages. Maintain detailed records of student progress, session notes, and instructional materials in compliance with educational standards. Stay informed about the latest research in dyslexia intervention, curriculum development, and educational technology to continually improve tutoring practices. Header Experience Prior experience working with children or adults diagnosed with dyslexia or other reading disabilities is highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development tailored for dyslexic learners, including the use of specialized teaching resources. Proficiency in learning technology platforms, educational software, and digital tools used for reading intervention. Strong background in tutoring or teaching across diverse subjects such as reading, language arts, or early childhood education. Experience managing classroom environments or small group sessions with patience and adaptability. Familiarity with data analysis methods such as statistics or data structures to track student progress effectively is advantageous.
