Job Description
Professional Tutors of America, Inc. is looking for a highly qualified Academic Tutor in Lancaster, PA (17601) . Our Academic Tutors will be tutoring elementary school students by providing homework help and academic support in ELA, Reading, and Writing. For over 40 years, we have been a fast-growing nationwide tutoring company that contracts with many government & community partners, developing tailored programs such as Foster & Probation Youth Tutoring, Indian Education, and School Intervention Programs. We are continuing to work alongside the Veterans Association, Military families, and Military Veterans. Tutoring will be done in a public setting, in-person, and the schedule/location is determined between the Tutors and students' parents. Our Tutors can earn $20-23 per hour , depending on education and experience. This is for an immediate need. Travel time and mileage are reimbursed tax-deductible since all Academic Tutors outside of California are Independent Contractors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree (required) Provide a negative Tuberculosis Test/TB Clearance (we can accept one completed under 4 years) Complete and pass a background check (PTA will cover this cost) Must have professional experience teaching or tutoring in the field of Academia for at least a year Ability to communicate effectively Motivation to help students learn and achieve academic excellence Be available afternoons, evenings, and/or on weekends To apply, please submit your resume or CV.
