Full Job Description LNESC TriO Tutor Job Description Classification:
Non Exempt, Part Time 10
Hours/Week:
Must be available M-F 2pm-4pm
Summary of Job Duties:
LNESC TRiO tutors aid in after school functions and provide tutorials for students who require additional academic support. Our tutors work with Middle and High School students. We are currently seeking tutors for all high school core subjects. Tutors can expect to assist in the following areas:
Essential Duties:
  • Tutor students in Math, English, and Science
  • Assist students with Senior Projects
  • Assist students with preparing for
SAT & ACT
exams.
  • Assist students with Khan Academy
  • Chaperone field trips as needed.
  • Assist students with preparing for Keystone exams.
  • Assist students with STEM programming
  • Other duties as assigned
Non Essential Duties:
  • Collecting student data
  • Calling parents and students
  • Taking attendance
  • Assisting with delivering snacks to students
  • Assisting LNESC Staff with recruitment
Performance Requirements:
  • Provide tutoring to cohort of students over the course of a year.
  • Assist with meeting 100% of recruitment goal
  • Ensure programming takes place 10 hours per week
  • Assist with ensuring 100% of students in the areas of Grades, Behavior and Attendance.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of college sophomore classification; higher classification preferred. Must demonstrate a 3.0 GPA or higher in subject area of competency Ability to document contacts and track academic progress. Experience in a similar college-bound program preferred. Must indicate either professional or personal experience in overcoming barriers similar tothose confronting the target population from which participants will be selected.

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 per week
