We offer children and adults tutoring in Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Study Skills, Phonics, Vocabulary, Science, Test Prep, High School Entrance Exam preparation, and SAT/PSAT, and ACT preparation. If you are a qualified, caring and dedicated MATH teaching professional, interested in spending your time working directly with students, we will give you the opportunity to do what you love to do

TEACH!

Requirements include:

Bachelor's degree required. Teacher's Certification or teaching experience is preferred. If no teaching experience, must have 2+ year of teaching experience.

Duties:

Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students in High School math subjects, or test preparation
Implement lesson plans provided by Huntington
Administer Academic Evaluation test, or practice tests to know about students' academic progress
Assist students with homework assignments and test preparation
Available to teach during after school hours during the week, and/or over the weekend for limited hours if needed. Minimum 2 hours a week.
You are required to come in person for most of the tutoring sessions.

There will be an opportunity of remote sessions depends on the individual student.

Experience:

Previous experience working with students in a classroom, or tutoring setting
Familiarity with different learning styles and strategies for engaging students
Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special education needs
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
