We are currently prioritizing morning availability, with additional opportunities for afternoon and evening sessions. As a tutor, you will provide personalized, one-on-one instruction to students of various ages and academic levels. You will play a key role in helping students build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and reach their full potential in a supportive and engaging learning environment. About Atlas Tutoring Services At Atlas Tutoring Services, we specialize in math and science instruction for students of all ages. As we continue to grow, we are expanding our team to support all core subjects, including reading, writing, and other academic areas. We offer both in-person and virtual tutoring services, allowing for flexible scheduling and a variety of teaching environments based on client needs. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one tutoring in subjects such as math, reading, science, and more Develop customized lesson plans based on each student's needs and goals Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles, including neurodivergent learners Monitor and track student progress Maintain clear communication with parents/guardians Complete session notes and progress reports (TutorBird) Foster a positive, structured, and encouraging learning environment Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (required) Licensed/certified teacher (required) Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (required) Must pass a background check (Checkr or equivalent) Experience working with students, including special needs and neurodivergent learners Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and stay organized Dependable, professional, and punctual Reliable transportation for in-person sessions Preferred Qualifications Background in STEM, early childhood education, or special education Experience working with diverse learning needs Familiarity with virtual tutoring platforms (Zoom, etc.) Work Location In-person (Peoria, Surprise & Phoenix areas) Virtual sessions available 1099 Contractor & Scheduling This is a 1099 independent contractor position, giving you the flexibility to set your own schedule. After the initial consultation and service setup, you will work directly with families to coordinate session times that fit both your availability and the client's needs.
