Academic Advantage (Formerly TLC Tutoring Company) is an Arkansas based tutoring and test preparation company serving clients throughout the state. We focus on all areas of K-12 and Collegiate Instruction, with an emphasis on ACT, SAT, LSAT, and other standardized test preparation services. We strive for a high touch and highly customizable level of service that places our client's needs first and ensures we give them every tool available to succeed.

Description & Responsibilities:

Academic Advantage is seeking qualified instructors and tutors for students in grades K-12 as well as college. The most in demand subjects are Mathematics (especially Algebra, Geometry, & Pre-Calculus), Reading, English, Languages (Spanish especially), and ACT test preparation expertise, but we are looking for tutors in all areas. Immediate demand for mathematics instructors! Immediate demand for high quality elementary instructors! The key areas of responsibilities include: Tutor students in multiple areas as the need arises Lead small groups of students in a specific subject Oversee small groups of students in academic enrichment Work closely with students to help them achieve their goals Communicate progress with parents Learn and utilize the Advantage processes to work with students to improve their score performance and overall learning level. We have a highly flexible work schedule where you set your availability and connect with clients on a time frame that works for you. This is a part time, contract position.

Qualifications and Requirements:

These individuals will possess the following qualifications and requirements: Passion for education and learning along with strong academic skills in math or other specific areas of instruction Well versed in multiple subject areas Passion for working with students Excellent communication skills Ability to multi-task efficiently Possess excellent character and strong leadership presence

Experience:

At least 1 year of relevant tutoring or education experience preferred, but all applicants will be considered.

Education:

High school or equivalent Currently pursuing college degree or College Graduate (preferred) Applicants who scored highly on the ACT (30+) are highly preferable for our test preparation services.

Work Location:

Bentonville Arkansas as well as online as needed. We are not hiring any fully remote candidates at this time.

Pay:

$15.00 - $22.00 per hour
