Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic SAT/ACT Reading Tutor to empower high school students in mastering standardized test reading sections. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive SAT and ACT reading test preparation tutoring tailored to individual student needs Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate test-taking strategies, reading comprehension techniques, and critical analysis skills Utilize educational technology tools and online tutoring platforms to facilitate interactive lessons and track student progress Provide clear ACT preparation guidance, including time management, question analysis, and effective reading methods Assess student performance regularly, adjusting instruction to maximize learning outcomes Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages active participation, motivation, and confidence-building Collaborate with students to improve their test-taking skills, vocabulary, and understanding of complex texts Requirements Proven experience working with high schoolers in test preparation or tutoring settings, especially for SAT/ACT exams Strong knowledge of English language arts, reading comprehension, and writing skills relevant to standardized tests Familiarity with online tutoring platforms, educational technology integration, and curriculum development tools Excellent presentation skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and confidently Experience in test-taking skills tutoring, especially for ACT preparation guidance and SAT preparation tutoring Background in teaching or working with students with diverse learning needs, including special education considerations is a plus Join us as an SAT/ACT Reading Tutor to inspire students on their academic journeys!
