Part-Time Flex Summary:

The Tutor II•Healthcare Programs is an active participant in the CLC Tutoring Center, coaching students in selected healthcare program courses as well as in study and technology skills as needed. The Tutor II participates in staff development opportunities, contributes to center projects and helps promote the center within the CLC community.

Required Qualifications:

Associates degree OR junior year standing at a four-year college. Minimum of two (2) semesters of CLC tutoring center experience and recommendation of the Tutoring Center Coordinator or Manager. Ability to tutor in multiple modalities (face-to-face and online). Ability to communicate and interact effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Willingness to work at multiple locations including Grayslake, Lakeshore and Southlake.

Summary of Essential Functions:

1. Tutor CLC students in healthcare program subjects as needed in multiple modalities (face to face and online). 2. Tutor students in time management, study skills and technology (Word, Google, Canvas) as needed. 3. Actively reach out to students in, or interested in, healthcare programs, offering support and helping them connect to tutoring in math, science and writing skills. 4. Mentor less experienced tutors. 5, Present class orientations describing center services. 6. Participate in staff development opportunities and in the tutor evaluation process. 7.
