Advertised Job Summary About the Role Peer Tutor - Nursing & Clinical Courses The University invites applications for Peer Tutors to support student success in our Nursing and Clinical Programs. Peer Tutors play a vital role in strengthening academic performance, clinical reasoning, and confidence among nursing students through collaborative, small-group learning experiences. Peer Tutors will provide structured, small-group tutoring to current nursing students enrolled in Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, and Nursing Clinical Courses , helping participants bridge theory to practice while developing critical thinking and clinical judgment skills essential to professional nursing practice. Primary Responsibilities Facilitate small-group tutoring sessions for nursing students in designated nursing and clinical courses Support students in applying course content, clinical concepts, and evidence-based reasoning to real-world scenarios Guide students through case studies, care prioritization, and clinical decision-making processes Encourage self-directed learning, problem-solving, and academic confidence Create a supportive, inclusive, and nonjudgmental learning environment Collaborate with faculty and program staff as needed to support student success initiatives Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and/or relevant professional experience in the nursing course(s) assigned for tutoring Demonstrated academic or clinical proficiency in Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, and/or Nursing Clinical Courses Why Join Us This position offers a meaningful opportunity to strengthen your leadership, teaching, and professional communication skills while making a direct impact on the academic and clinical success of future nurses.
