Overview Join our dynamic educational team as an Math Academic Tutor, where your passion for teaching and dedication to student success will shine! In this role, you will inspire learners of all ages by delivering engaging, personalized instruction that fosters confidence and academic achievement.
Responsibilities The ideal candidate will:
Have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and helping students achieve their academic goals. Supervise, interact with and motivate students during instruction hour while they work with equipment and materials. Deliver personalized, engaging lesson plans tailored to each student's needs and providing support in various subjects. Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in subjects such as math, reading, writing, and science. Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment that promotes student engagement and confidence. Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain focus during tutoring sessions. Adapt teaching methods based on the diverse needs of students. Qualifications Hold a bachelor's degree -or- are a college junior/senior working towards your degree in Math or Education Advanced knowledge and familiarity with teaching or tutoring in the areas of calculus, algebra 1 & 2, geometry and trigonometry. Have the ability to multitask Have a reliable form of transportation Schedule Afternoon/evening hours during the week (Monday-Thursday) and Saturday mornings available.
