Title:
Academic Assistance Center (Tutor and Clerical Temporary Part-Time)
Institution:
Jackson State Community College Job Summary Tutors work one-on-one and with groups of students to help them learn an academic subject or a specific skill. Job Duties Must effectively communicate with students to help them learn complex subject-matter while maintaining their professionalism. Tutors should be organized and patient communicators with a friendly and approachable disposition that lends itself to work with students of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. Tutoring sessions are typically scheduled for an hour. Minimum Qualifications Successfully completed the course which will be tutored with an A or high B.
Pay Rate :
Starting pay is $10.00. Pay is increased based on experience and level of degree obtained.
Schedule/Hours :
No more than 29 hours may be worked a week (hours depend on budget availability and need). Hours are scheduled during normal business hours of 8:00-4:30, as well as evenings.
