Job Description
Schedule
Two days per week
Two hours per day after school
One hour of planning per week
Approximately five hours per week
Responsibilities
Provide small-group and/or individualized tutoring in Math and ELA.
Use student achievement data to identify specific areas of academic need.
Provide targeted instruction aligned with Tennessee Academic Standards and classroom instruction.
Assist students with developing foundational skills and addressing learning gaps.
Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on student performance.
Communicate with teachers and administration regarding student progress and areas of concern.
Create a positive, encouraging, and academically focused learning environment.
Maintain consistent attendance and professionalism throughout the tutoring program.
Preferred Qualifications
Highly qualified educator or instructional professional with demonstrated success in Math and/or English Language Arts.
Strong understanding of middle school academic standards and instructional practices.
Experience using student data to plan targeted interventions.
Ability to build positive relationships with middle school students.
Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
Commitment to helping students demonstrate measurable academic growth.
