00 Open Date 11/12/2025 Close Date Open Until Filled No Position Summary Information Job Description Summary The purpose of this position is to tutor students, enhance their mathematics knowledge and help them develop the skills necessary to succeed in a variety of math courses. Tutors will utilize a collaborative and interactive process to enable and encourage students to become a more effective and independent learner. Work/schedule hours vary, however may be within any time that the Math Learning Center is open. Minimum Qualifications

  • 12 college credit hours, "B" average for Math classes
MATH LEARNING CENTER
  • PROFESSIONAL TUTOR ( LEVEL II)
  • 60 college credit hours, "B" average for Math classes
MATH LEARNING CENTER
  • PROFESSIONAL TUTOR ( LEVEL III )
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics or a Math-related field
  • OR•Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 21 college credit hours in Mathematics Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong mathematical skills and logical reasoning. Ability to effectively articulate mathematical concepts. Capable of working with students from different cultural backgrounds as well as various academic levels and needs. Preferred Qualifications Prior tutoring experience. Completion of Calculus I and II with high standing. Knowledge of learning management systems (preferably Canvas). Proficient with a variety of calculators and math software such as MyMathLab. Ability to work independently and to take initiative in fulfilling responsibilities. Special Instructions to Applicants This is a security-sensitive position.
