Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable SAT Tutor to assist high school students in preparing for the SAT exam. The ideal candidate will have experience working with high schoolers and possess strong expertise in test preparation, particularly in math, English, and test-taking strategies. This role involves providing in-person tutoring sessions focused on SAT preparation, as well as ACT preparation and test-taking skills guidance. The successful candidate will help students improve their scores through effective instruction and personalized support, ensuring they are well-equipped for their college admissions tests. Responsibilities Conduct in-person tutoring sessions focused on SAT preparation, including subject-specific areas such as math and English. Provide comprehensive test-taking skills coaching to help students develop effective strategies for managing exam time and reducing anxiety. Offer targeted guidance on ACT preparation as needed, aligning instruction with individual student goals. Assess students' strengths and areas for improvement to tailor tutoring sessions accordingly. Support students in understanding exam formats, question types, and scoring methods to maximize their performance. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence. Track student progress and adjust tutoring approaches to ensure continuous improvement. Experience Prior experience working with high school students is highly preferred. Proven expertise in SAT preparation, including familiarity with the exam structure, content, and effective study techniques. Strong background in math and English instruction relevant to standardized testing. Experience providing test-taking strategies coaching is advantageous. Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate students to achieve their academic goals.
Pay:
$35.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 2.0 per week
