Develop customized curricula that address individual student needs, focusing on literacy education, essay writing, critical reading, and test-taking techniques. Track student progress through assessments and provide constructive feedback to help them achieve measurable improvements. Manage classroom environments—whether virtual or in-person—by maintaining positive engagement, managing time effectively, and ensuring a supportive learning atmosphere. Collaborate with parents, teachers, or educational coordinators to align tutoring goals with students' academic plans. Stay current with the latest developments in standardized testing formats and incorporate innovative teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes. Experience Proven classroom experience or tutoring experience working with high school students in English reading and writing. Strong background in curriculum development for standardized test preparation such as the SAT or ACT. Familiarity with learning technology platforms used for remote or hybrid instruction. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds. Excellent writing skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and engagingly.
