Tutor Doctor Melissa-Celina is an educational assistance business specializing in individualized 1:1 tutoring. We know all students have individual needs, which is why we evaluate each new student and then strive to match them with the perfect tutor. We're looking for candidates with a solid understanding of the field of education and a passion for transforming students so that they can reach their full potential. Our ideal candidate is an experienced teacher and/or tutor who must be able to adapt to different learning styles. We want our tutors to have the integrity and knowledge to push students to excel beyond expectations. •College students with a strong math background are encouraged to apply! This is a part-time contract position. Our tutors choose which students to accept and determine their own weekly schedule. Tutors are matched to students based on qualifications, subject/ grade expertise, availability, personality, and location. Our marketing and referral network provide a steady stream of available students. Select your students and tutoring times to fit your ideal schedule. Receive a detailed profile of your student prior to tutoring including academic history, current needs, and goals. Clients pre-pay directly to Tutor Doctor and our simplified invoice system makes getting paid for your work quick, easy, and reliable. Orientation, resources and support readily available to assist tutors as needed.
Note :
Tutor Doctor tutors have a passion for helping others and know how to get the best out of the students they work with. Our tutors normally work 1-4 hours per week. You are free to accept only the assignments that fit your schedule and other preferences. All tutors are required to undergo an annual background check.

Minimum Qualifications:
Professionals, college grad, current undergraduates. Having a teaching credential is a plus. Demonstrate a passion to inspire and help a student achieve academic success. Great personality with the ability to build rapport with students and parents Previous experience in teaching/ tutoring a plus but not required Core knowledge of educational subjects Ability to do lesson planning Excellent written and verbal communication skills Weekday afternoon/evening availability - peak times are 4 - 7 PM Tutors will be required to drive to student's home for min. 1 hour sessions Currently hiring for ALL Grades and ALL Subjects.
Responsibilities:
Manage and educate students in a non-classroom setting Design and implement lesson plans at varying academic levels Establish academic goals and milestones with students Communicate to parents after tutoring with a session report. Provide constructive feedback for students
