Instructional tutor will regularly facilitate individual and/or small tutorial groups.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from accredited university; Valid teacher certificate; Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to work well with elementary, middle and/or high school students; Ability to communicate effectively.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Instructional Support 1. Create and facilitate small group tutorials. 2. Provide evaluation of tutorial session to student. 3. Assist teacher with tutorial preparation. 4. Evaluate student progress where needed. 5. Serve as a role model to students. Student Management 6. Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom. 7. Communicate frequently and honestly with the assigned teacher regarding student progress and areas of concern. Other 8. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. 9. Represent the district in a professional manner at all times.
