Math and Reading Tutor positions availablePRIMARY PURPOSE
Provides supplemental, accelerated instruction to students who were not successful in meeting state assessment requirements. Adheres to accelerated learning plans created by the campus to meet the individual academic needs of each student.ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provides academic support and acceleration services for students in the areas of Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies. 2. Works with students on core content areas to target skills and strategies that have been previously taught but not yet mastered onSTAAR/STAAR
End-of-Course (EOC). 3. Accelerates learning for students who exhibit learning gaps. 4. Builds a strong relationship with students. 5. Attends Tutoring Framework training provided by the District. 6. Uses high-quality, research TEKS based instructional materials provided by the District. 7. Assists students in understanding their learning goals and how to achieve them. 8. Keeps informed of and complies with state, District and school regulations and policies for classroom teachers. 9. Works closely with core content area teacher to review formative and summative assessments to measure progress, create learning goals, monitoring outcomes, and adjust sessions based on results. 10. Communicates regularly with teachers about student progress and provides documentation that support successful implementation of accelerated learning plan(s). 11.
