Job Description

The Tutoring Center® | Part-Time Position Summary The Tutoring Center® is seeking an energetic, patient, and academically strong Reading & Phonics Tutor who enjoys helping students become confident, successful readers. This position is ideal for educators, education majors, reading specialists, retired teachers, and individuals with strong literacy backgrounds who want to make a measurable difference for students in a structured and supportive instructional environment. Key Responsibilities Provide individualized reading and phonics instruction. Support phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. Follow individualized student instructional plans and TTC instructional systems. Model skills, provide guided practice, and deliver constructive corrective feedback. Monitor student performance and communicate instructional observations to center leadership. Build positive and encouraging relationships with students. Maintain accurate instructional records. Participate in staff training, coaching, and professional development. Maintain student safety and follow established TTC systems and operations. Consistently demonstrate our

Integrity, Quality, Enthusiasm, Service, and Teamwork. Preferred Qualifications College coursework or a degree in Education, Reading, English, Child Development, or a related field is preferred. Most importantly, you enjoy helping students experience academic success. Compensation $16-$20 per hour, based on education, experience, demonstrated skills, and staff classification.
