The Tutoring Center® | Part-Time Position Summary Do you enjoy making difficult math concepts finally "click" for students? The Tutoring Center® is seeking an academically strong Upper-Level Math Tutor to help middle and high school students develop greater understanding, accuracy, problem-solving ability, and confidence in mathematics. This is an excellent opportunity for college students studying mathematics, engineering, science, or education, as well as teachers, retired educators, and other professionals with strong mathematics backgrounds. Key Responsibilities Provide individualized upper-level mathematics instruction. Explain complex concepts in clear, student-friendly language. Identify errors in student thinking and reteach concepts using alternative approaches. Strengthen mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills. Support students in becoming increasingly independent learners. Follow individualized student learning plans. Monitor and document student performance. Maintain a positive environment that encourages productive struggle and builds confidence. Participate in required training, observations, and coaching. Follow TTC instructional, operational, and student-safety procedures. Qualifications Strong demonstrated mathematics competency is required. College students pursuing mathematics, engineering, science, education, or related disciplines are encouraged to apply. Degreed professionals, certified teachers, and retired educators are also strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates advancing through our hiring process will complete a job-related mathematics skills assessment. Compensation $16-$20 per hour, based on education, relevant experience, demonstrated mathematics competency, and staff classification. Why Join The Tutoring Center®?
