Job Description
Tutoring Chinese Mandarin languageTutors are expected to observe the SLCC Student Code of Conduct.
Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
Current student of SLCC.
- Good computer skills.
- Reliability, timeliness and attention to detail.
- Increasing knowledge of Chinese 1010 and 1020, 2010,2020 and other Chinese language related including teaching methods and the course textbook, materials, and assignments.
- Increasing competence in tutoring, focusing on textbook integration, identifying student level of competence, and tailoring instruction to the student level, needs, and instructor expectations.
Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
Current student of SLCC.
- Language teaching or tutoring experience.
- Availability to attend the SLCC classes in the target language in conjunction with the approval of the course instructor.
