This position provides academic, behavioral, and instructional support to students with disabilities in an inclusive math setting. Strong knowledge of math through 8th grade is required. Responsibilities Collaborate with Special Education and classroom teachers to support student learning, participation, and IEP implementation. Provide targeted math instruction, small-group support, reteaching, and intervention under the direction of the Special Education teacher. Support students in accessing grade-level math instruction and applying appropriate IEP accommodations and instructional supports. Assist students with math assignments, assessments, and classroom activities while promoting independence and problem-solving skills. Collect and document academic and behavioral data and communicate student progress and concerns to the instructional team. Reinforce positive behaviors and consistently follow classroom and school behavior systems. Support students in general education classes, field trips, and other school activities. Assist with student personal care needs, including feeding, hygiene, lifting, positioning, or carrying when required. Assist with classroom preparation, clerical tasks, school supervision, carpool, lunch, and other duties as assigned. Maintain positive relationships with students and staff and maintain confidentiality. Complete required training, including CPR, MANDT, and other school-required training. Qualifications Strong knowledge of math through 8th grade is required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree, 48 semester hours of college credit, or successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment required. Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass a background check. Ability to collaborate effectively with Special Education and classroom teachers and follow instructional and behavioral directions. Ability to work effectively with students with a variety of academic, behavioral, and functional needs.
