Cast Member City Year seeks AmeriCorps Members to serve full-time in public schools, supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth. In this education-focused role, you'll provide tutoring, mentor students, assist in classrooms, and lead small-group interventions. You'll collaborate with school staff and a diverse team to create a positive learning environment. Provide in-class support and individual or small-group tutoring to students in partner schools Build positive relationships and serve as a mentor and role model for students Track student progress and document interventions using program tools Collaborate with teachers and school staff to align student support with classroom goals Lead or assist with after-school programs and enrichment activities Participate in ongoing City Year training, coaching, and professional development Engage families and community partners to support student success Model City Year's values of equity, inclusion, and social justice in all interactions Student support strategies Tutoring and academic intervention Classroom management support Data tracking and documentation Youth mentorship Communication (written and verbal) Team collaboration Community outreach Basic technology/Google Suite Time management Eligibility to serve as an AmeriCorps member (including U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident status) Ability to pass required background checks for service in schools Prior experience working with youth, tutoring, or mentoring preferred but not required
