Job Description

APS is seeking qualified candidates to fill tutoring positions for Arlington's Learning Acceleration program at Multiple Locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares and tutors lessons in math and/or literacy for students in need of additional grade level support in grades 2 - 8. Responsible for monitoring student progress ,communicating with school staff, and participating in professional learning and training. Selected tutors may be asked to tutor at multiple schools. This position reports to the Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction or Designee.
EXPERIENCE
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND
ABILITIES
Knowledge on the rules, strategies, and best-practices of tutoring.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience in a field related to tutoring, or the delivery of instruction to a group of students in an education or child enrichment setting.
Preferred:
Have completed at least 45 college credits OR, Be a current or retired licensed teacher Tutors will be required to complete training with the APS Learning Acceleration Coordinator.
SALARY-Current or retired licensed teacher:
