Job Overview Club Z! Tutoring of Falls Church is seeking a qualified AP Precalculus Tutor to provide one-on-one, in-person academic support to a high school student. This part-time position is ideal for experienced math tutors, current or former educators, graduate students, and professionals with a strong mathematics background who enjoy individualized instruction and helping students build academic confidence. Tutors work directly with students to strengthen their understanding of advanced mathematical concepts, prepare for assessments, and develop effective problem-solving strategies. All scheduling, family communication, and student matching are coordinated through our local office.
Pay:
$25 per hour

Reinforce AP Precalculus concepts, including polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions. Support homework completion, test preparation, and AP exam readiness. Identify learning gaps and develop individualized instructional strategies. Strengthen mathematical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and academic confidence. Follow student-specific learning goals and plans. Communicate professionally with families and the Club Z! office. Submit brief session notes after each tutoring session. Maintain professionalism, reliability, and consistency. Experience & Qualifications Minimum of an Associate's degree (Bachelor's degree preferred), ideally in mathematics, education, engineering, or a related field. Strong understanding of AP Precalculus curriculum and advanced high school mathematics. Previous experience tutoring or teaching high school mathematics preferred. Ability to explain complex mathematical concepts clearly and adapt instruction to individual learning needs. Experience preparing students for AP exams or other advanced mathematics assessments is a plus. Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
