Role:
Stemtree is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Afterschool Instructor to teach STEM-based classes to students in Grades K-7 . The instructor will lead engaging, hands-on lessons in Science, Math, Scratch Coding, and Electrical Engineering/Python . Our curriculum is designed to spark curiosity, build problem-solving skills, and foster a love for STEM through personalized instruction and project-based learning. This is a great opportunity for someone studying or recently graduated in Computer Science, Engineering, Education , or a related STEM field who enjoys working with young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach four rotating STEM subjects (Science, Math, Scratch Coding, Electrical Engineering/Python) daily Deliver prepared curriculum using lesson plans, learning kits, and digital tools Guide students through both individual instruction and group projects Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment Set up and organize materials before each class session Monitor student engagement, safety, and behavior Maintain clear communication with site coordinators and parents
Bonus Opportunity:
If you're able to pick up students from local schools before class , that's a plus ! Must have a valid driver's license Additional compensation will be provided for this responsibility
Preferred Qualifications:
Pursuing or completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Education , or a related STEM field or enrichment setting Familiarity with Scratch, Python (basic), science experiments, and core math concepts for Grades K-7 Strong communication and Reliable, responsible, and enthusiastic about STEM education
