Title I Neglected and Delinquent Tutor:
$35/hour This position will be working with students on-site at Turning Point facility, 5 days per week, 1-2 hours per day after school hours to supplement classroom instruction. The tutor will work with students in secondary education to ensure the completion of credits toward graduation. The tutor will report to and work cooperatively with the Neglected and Delinquent Specialist for Kanawha County Schools.
  • The tutor will consult with the classroom teacher regarding specific educational needs for each student.
  • The tutor will meet with the N&D Specialist at least monthly to review each student's progress.
  • The tutor will monitor student progress on Schoology.
  • The tutor will develop his/her work schedule under the guidance of the N&D Specialist. The work schedule will be developed according to students' needs.
  • The tutor will follow the Kanawha County Schools procedures for school visits by signing in and out of the building before and after each visit.
The tentative schedule is : Turning Point is 4:30-5:30
Qualification:
