Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking reliable and knowledgeable Basketball Referees to officiate youth league and tournament games. Referees play a vital role in ensuring fair play, safety, and a positive experience for players, coaches, and families. Games can take place at multiple gym locations throughout the Bay Area. Responsibilities Officiate youth basketball games in accordance with league and tournament rules Enforce rules consistently, fairly, and confidently Communicate clearly and professionally with players, coaches, and event staff Maintain game control while promoting sportsmanship and respect Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled games at various gym locations Complete games professionally and report incidents or concerns as required Qualifications Strong knowledge of basketball rules (youth or competitive level) Ability to make quick, confident decisions under pressure Comfortable managing game flow and addressing conflict when necessary Reliable transportation and ability to commute to different gym locations throughout the Bay Area Prior refereeing experience preferred but not required (training available)
