Job Description

League Host/Referee responsibilities include, but not limited to: Update league scores in our host app Encourage and maintain a quality experience throughout the league Must be available at least 1 day per week from 5:30pm-10:30pm for at least eight weeks Other league-day preparations, such as court setup and supervision Use host app to check in players as needed Execute fundraising activities to support kids programs Promote events and upcoming leagues via social media and on-field selling including help distribute marketing materials Make players meet & feel welcome Referee responsibilities: Ensure a safe, fun, social and fair environment for all players Understand and kindly and fairly enforce each sport's rules Communicate with the office regarding any equipment, rule issues, player issues, etc. Qualifications Officiate Volleyball games by enforcing the Volo rules and regulations Make quick and accurate decisions regarding fouls, violations, and points Communicate effectively with players, hosts, and other officials Monitor game clock and manage timeouts and intervals Inspect and setup game equipment and facilities Must have strong knowledge of volleyball rules and gameplay, with prior playing experience required Ability to focus strong attention to detail Excellent oral communication skills to players, able to project voice across the court or field Works well in a team atmosphere Maintain control of the game to ensure player safety and fair competition Report any incidents or altercations to the appropriate authorities Participate in ongoing training and certification programs Ability to multi-task and make decisions under pressure Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds Possess a positive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate clearly Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends Proficient customer service skills High School Diploma /GED Equivalency "WOW" Us With ...
