Job Description

As a part-time Gym Supervisor for adult basketball, you'll manage court operations for our indoor recreational basketball leagues. You'll oversee gym setup, keep games starting on time, support scorekeepers and referees, and serve as the go-to resource for captains and players. What You'll Do in
This Role:
Set up required gym equipment prior to game times. Inspect court surfaces and equipment to ensure a clean, safe playing environment for participants and spectators. Coordinate with officials, scorekeepers, and team captains to ensure games start, run, and end according to schedule. Serve as the primary point of contact in the gym—answering questions, sharing league info, and welcoming participants and visitors. Monitor courts, sidelines, and facility hallways to ensure proper behavior and compliance with Durango Parks and Recreation standards. Complete incident reports, document conduct concerns, collect surveys, and submit accurate timecards in a timely manner. Handle post-game court clean-up, store equipment securely, and ensure gym spaces are locked and secured.
You Have:
Education or training ensuring the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with participants, officials, and staff. CPR, First Aid, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification, or the ability to obtain certification upon hire. General knowledge of basketball rules and league structures preferred. Experience working with the public, customer service, or athletic programming preferred. You Will Succeed in
