Job Description

The Port Orange Family YMCA is looking for Sports Officials/Referees for our youth volleyball program. Applicant must be certified, a positive role model, and excellent communicator. This is a part-time position.
Family YMCA Sports Program Goals:
We offer healthy lifestyle activities that bring people together with shared athletic and recreational interests to stay healthy, confident and connected. Our focus in healthy living activities allows us to offer resources and guidance to help children, adults and families across Volusia and Flagler counties to maintain or improve their physical activity, health and wellness, behavior, healthier lifestyles and even academic achievement. Model and encourage the development and practice of the Y character values (Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility).
Job Duties:
Maintaining concentration on the game and reacting quickly to rule violations Keeping track of time and calling for halftime or any other breaks in play Making sure that the field is safe for play, including checking for holes, ruts, or other hazards on the field Making sure that all players are familiar with the rules of the game and enforcing penalties for violations Assigning penalties for infractions, misconduct, and injuries as needed Calling fouls and misconduct on players, coaches, or spectators Recognizing when an injury requires that a player be removed from the field or when a player appears to be in pain but is able to continue playing Pay range is from $14.00 - $17.00/hr (based on experience).
Hours:
