Sports Flag Football Referee Position Overview:

The i9 Sports Flag Football Referee plays a pivotal role on the sports field, serving as the enforcer of rules while fostering a positive and constructive environment. This position entails acting as an on-field coach, being a role model for young athletes, and advocating for the i9 Sports programs. As a Flag Football Referee, you will directly impact the experience of players, coaches, and spectators on every game day.

Job Responsibilities:

Enforce i9 Sports rules consistently, creating an atmosphere of fun, learning, and safety for all players. Teach and exemplify core concepts, including the importance of sportsmanship values, throughout the games. Manage time and keep score during matches, providing an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition. Demonstrate an unwavering positive attitude and superior customer service skills, ensuring an exceptional experience for all involved. Cultivate effective communication skills to interact with players, coaches, and spectators in a respectful and professional manner.

Qualifications:

Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey rules and interact with participants. Demonstrate prior experience in sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching, ensuring a thorough understanding of the game and its dynamics. Show self-motivation and initiative, capable of working independently and effectively solving problems that may arise during games. Exhibit situational awareness and the ability to take charge of any circumstance, ensuring the safety and well-being of all players. Display a consistently positive attitude and a strong aptitude for building and maintaining professional relationships.

Additional Requirements:

Ability to work all seven Saturdays during the season, with the possibility of extended schedules due to weather-related cancellations. Must successfully pass a National Criminal Background Check to ensure the safety of all participants.
