(to be included along with other responsibilities) 1. Responsible for working with the building principal to create, plan, organize, facilitate and coach an intramural program that is based-upon building need and student interest. 2. Responsible for planning, organizing and implementing the teaching of fundamentals, strategies, rules and proper conditioning in the target sport. 3. Issue, collect, inventory and return equipment, and other materials (e.g., first aid kit, coach's handbook) consistent with department guidelines. 4. Responsible for adequate supervision of all students involved in the program and ensuring the safety of participants by inspecting facilities and equipment, and being aware of environmental conditions. 5. Responsible for supervision of student participants on site. 6. Instruct participants in safety procedures and in the need to report injuries to the building principal or site administrator immediately; implement appropriate procedures for handling injury situations; ensure the availability of a properly supplied first aid kit. 7. Responsible for completing and submitting the following to the appropriate building principal or site administrator:- WPS Standard Accident Report Forms
- Disciplinary action
- Parent Complaints 8. Responsible for attending a variety of related activities as assigned, including a preseason meeting. 9. Perform other related duties as assigned by the building principal and Director of Intramural and Interscholastic Athletics including, but not limited to:
- The maintaining of attendance at the start of each session.
- The collection of each signed participation form distributed to participants at the beginning of each season.
- Monitoring the arrival and dismissal of students from the program including those being picked-up at the conclusion of the program, and remain until all students are picked up.
- Adherence to the policies and procedures of the Coach's Handbook.
- Signing and returning the coach's evaluation at the completion of each season.
