Job Description
Extreme Ice Center seeks part-time employees to operate our scorebooth for ice hockey events at the rink. Our ice rink is conveniently located on the Southeast side of Charlotte and provides year-round programs for hockey, figure skating and recreational skating. This position is perfect for individuals that are experienced scorekeepers or are college students looking for a part-time job that have knowledge of ice hockey. Training is provided.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must be an excellent multitasker. Have a high attention to detail. Communication skills with front desk staff, coaches, officials and Hockey Director are necessary. Hockey or other sports scorekeeping experience preferred. Operate rink scoreboard for game time, goals and penalties. Maintain SportsEngine, GameSheet and/or paper scoresheets for player and team stats, depending on league event. Announce goals, assists and penalties. Play music between games, during game intermissions and during stoppages in play. Maintain cleanliness on player benches, penalty boxes, and scorebooth between games. Closing/end of shift duties as assigned, including but not limited to sweeping/mopping player benches and penalty boxes, assisting with end-of-night facility cleaning and/or ice maintenance, etc.AVAILABILITY / SCHEDULE
Immediate needs include Sunday, Monday, Friday and Saturday nights from approximately 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Candidates should be available for at least two of these shifts to be considered for immediate employment. Otherwise, scorekeepers can expect to be scheduled for 3-7 hour shifts during any of the following days/times: Mondays-Thursdays- 8 p.m.

- 5 p.m.
- 1 a.m. Saturdays
- 7 a.m.
- 1 a.m. Sundays
- 7 a.m.
- 2 a.
