Responsibilities Enforce game rules and regulations to maintain fair play during adult softball matches Make quick, clear decisions on game incidents, disputes, and rule clarifications Communicate effectively with players, coaches, and spectators to promote sportsmanship and safety Monitor game equipment and field conditions to ensure proper standards are upheld Manage conflict situations with professionalism, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate tensions Assist with manual handling tasks such as setting up bases, field markers, and safety barriers when needed Qualifications Prior experience in sports coaching or officiating, especially in softball or related sports like baseball Strong communication skills to clearly convey decisions and manage interactions with players and spectators Knowledge of sports rules and regulations; familiarity with softball rules preferred but not required Ability to handle conflict effectively and maintain composure under pressure If interested, please contact us at 614 791 7849 or by email at fieldsports @ sportsohio.org.
