In this role, you will be responsible for identifying talented basketball players across various age groups and skill levels, providing valuable insights to coaches and management. Responsibilities Attend local games, tournaments, and training sessions to observe and evaluate basketball players' skills and potential Record detailed assessments of players' technical abilities, game intelligence, and physical attributes Build relationships with coaches, trainers, and sports officials to gather comprehensive player information Interpret and apply sports rules accurately during game observations to assess player adherence and understanding Ensure safety protocols are followed during scouting activities, including manual handling and heavy lifting when transporting equipment Provide timely reports on prospects, highlighting strengths and areas for development to coaching staff Assist in organizing scouting events or showcases when needed, ensuring smooth operations and safety compliance Experience Proven experience in sports coaching or scouting within basketball or other team sports such as soccer or baseball Knowledge of sports rule interpretation, officiating, and player management in various sports disciplines Experience working with children or youth athletes in a coaching or supervisory capacity Familiarity with safety protocols related to manual handling, heavy lifting, and sports officiating environments Strong communication skills to effectively interact with players, coaches, officials, and team members Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts professionally while maintaining a positive environment during scouting activities Join us in shaping the future of basketball by discovering talented athletes and fostering their growth!
