FLAG FOOTBALL REFEREE - PART-TIME WEEKEND POSITION
Stampede Sports Arena is looking for reliable, knowledgeable, and professional Flag Football Referees to join our officiating staff. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a strong understanding of football, enjoys working in a sports environment, and is looking for a flexible part-time position to earn extra money on the weekends . We are looking for referees who can confidently manage games, make quick and accurate decisions, communicate effectively, and provide a positive experience for players, coaches, and families.
IMPORTANT
This is primarily a weekend position. Applicants should have consistent weekend availability and a strong working knowledge of flag football. We are looking for mature, dependable individuals who are comfortable making quick decisions and confidently managing games. What We're Looking For Strong knowledge of flag football rules and gameplay is required Weekend availability is required Reliable and punctual Mature, professional, and comfortable taking control of a game Able to make quick, confident decisions in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and people skills Able to remain calm and impartial when disagreements arise Comfortable working with youth players, coaches, and parents Passion for football and interest in helping create a positive sports environment Responsibilities Officiate flag football games and enforce league rules Make accurate and timely calls on penalties, touchdowns, possession, and other game situations Ensure games are played fairly and safely Promote good sportsmanship and appropriate behavior Clearly communicate decisions and rules to players and coaches Maintain control of the game and address disputes or disagreements professionally Work effectively with other referees and Stampede staff Maintain a professional, impartial, and positive demeanor throughout each game Arrive on time and prepared for assigned games Qualifications & Experience Previous referee/officiating experience is preferred, but not required Strong understanding of flag football rules and gameplay is required Playing experience, coaching experience, or extensive knowledge of the sport is a plus Experience working with children or in a youth sports environment is a plus Customer service or other public-facing experience is a plus We are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong knowledge of the game, the right attitude, and the ability to learn our specific league rules and officiating procedures.
