The Athletics Department is recruiting for one part time Student Worker to work in the Sports Center for the Fall 202 6 semester. This position works to logistically support the Athletics Director in facilitating the operations of the Sports Center and Athletics Program. This position will ensure that all facilities are open, welcoming, clean, and safe for all Sports Center Events and department activities. Responsible for being the primary contact for visitors of the Sports Center and ensuring sign-in/sign-out procedure is fulfilled Answer and redirect phone calls or inquires to the proper avenues General oversight of the recreational facilities during their shift in terms of enforcing policies and procedures Assist with preparation and supervision for Sports Center events Assist in executing various game day responsibilities at the direction of the supervisor Contribute to the success of campus intramurals including game setup, emphasizing safety, enforcing rules and policies, and ensuring fair play Perform all other duties as assigned by the Athletics Director and Sports Center staff Enrollment in minimum of 6 credit hours in the Fall and Spring semester and 3 credit hours in the summer English proficiency Demonstrate proficient written and oral communication skills Friendly and professional attitude and good interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and ability to establish and meet timelines Team player who is dependable, punctual, organized, and detail oriented The ability to work nights and weekends is required for this position While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle controls, key pads, etc. Will be required to sit and reach with hands and arms as well as, sit, stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds while loading event supplies, equipment, office supplies and paper. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, some color vision, and the ability to adjust focus from documents to computer screen. Hearing of light to moderate sound is required by this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
