We're looking for dependable, energetic Referees to help create a safe, fair, and positive experience for our athletes and families during the Fall 2026 flag football season. If you enjoy football, working with kids, and being part of a team, we'd love to meet you. Position Details We are hiring for opportunities in Chantilly and South Riding . Please indicate whether you're available for Chantilly only, South Riding only, or both. Schedules, specific work sites, and assignments vary by location and availability and will be discussed during the interview process. What You'll Do Officiate youth flag football games according to league rules Promote player safety, fair play, and sportsmanship Make confident, consistent calls while maintaining professionalism Clearly explain rulings to players and coaches Manage game flow, timing, and player conduct Work closely with fellow referees, Crew Chiefs, and Field Managers Assist with field setup, equipment organization, and game-day operations Serve as a positive role model for young athletes What We're Looking For Dependability, punctuality, and a positive attitude Strong communication and customer service skills Comfort working with children and families Confidence making decisions and remaining calm during disagreements Attention to detail and willingness to learn league rules A team-oriented approach to creating a positive game-day experience Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Reliable transportation to assigned work locations Ability to pass a background check Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds Access to a cell phone, email, and the internet Commitment to your agreed-upon schedule throughout the season Preferred Qualifications Experience officiating youth sports Experience playing or coaching football Knowledge of flag football rules Experience working with children or youth athletes Customer service experience CPR/First Aid certification Why Join Flag Star Football?
