FLSA Non-Exempt position; eligible for overtime compensation
SALARY RANGE
$19.63 - $24.84 per hour DOE Under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator, the Sports Official's primary responsibility is being the on-site coordinator and Sports Official for the Parks and Recreation Department Sports program assigned. Among other job responsibilities, this position will: (For a full list of responsibilities, see the Sports Official I Job Description.) Know, implement, and enforce team sports, league and city policies Complete and report game scores to the Recreation Coordinator following each game Maintain records to include time sheets and accident reports Set up field and scoreboards Provide a high level of customer service for recreation program participants

Education, Skills & Experience Requirements:
Must be a minimum of 14 years old, 16 years or older preferred Experience as a Sports Official of adult or competitive youth-level sports is preferred ( Please be aware that preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience in these areas) Must possess current First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain prior to start Knowledge of sport rules which includes special ground rules associated with the league Ability to enforce rules and manage participants in pressure situations This position is FLSA non-exempt and is eligible for overtime compensation. The salary range for this position is $19.63 -$24.84 per hour/DOE. A City of Maple Valley Application for Employment must be submitted .
