Job Description

The Youth Basketball League Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation of the City of Cedarburg Parks & Recreation Department's Youth Basketball League. This role ensures that all games run smoothly, facilities are prepared, officials are supported, and participants enjoy a safe and positive experience. The Supervisor serves as the on-site point of contact for players, coaches, parents, and referees during league play. Prepares facilities for league games and practices. Supervise all youth basketball games on Saturdays and Sundays. Serve as the lead contact for coaches, parents, players, referees, and staff during games. Ensure games start and end on time and maintain league schedules. Monitor and promote good sportsmanship among participants and spectators. Enforce league rules, department policies, and facility regulations. Provide conflict resolution and address any concerns or incidents that arise. Support referees and assist with any officiating issues. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment at all times. Report accidents, injuries, and disciplinary concerns to Recreation Department staff. Assist with equipment set-up, take-down, and storage. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum age:
18 years. Knowledge of basketball rules, league operations, or youth sports management preferred. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to remain calm, fair, and professional in conflict situations. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Must be available Saturdays AND Sundays during the league season (January-March). CPR/First Aid certification preferred (training may be provided).
