Overview -$25 Per Game $50 Per Travel Game Join our dynamic sports officiating team as a Baseball and Softball Umpire! In this energetic role, you will be the vital authority on the field, ensuring fair play, enforcing game rules, and maintaining a positive sporting environment. Responsibilities Officiate baseball and softball games by enforcing rules and making accurate calls on plays Maintain control of the game environment, ensuring safety and sportsmanship among participants Communicate clearly with players, coaches, officials, and spectators to explain rulings and resolve disputes Monitor game progress and ensure adherence to league regulations and safety protocols Handle conflicts or disagreements professionally, mediating disputes with fairness and composure Prepare for each game by reviewing rules, field conditions, and scheduling details Complete game reports or incident logs as required to document any unusual situations or rule violations Skills Strong knowledge of baseball and softball rules, regulations, and gameplay mechanics Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with players of all ages and backgrounds Proven ability in conflict management to handle tense situations calmly and diplomatically Experience in sports coaching or officiating is a plus but not required; training is provided if needed Working with children: patience, understanding, and the ability to engage positively with young athletes Ability to stay alert for extended periods during games while maintaining focus on gameplay details This role is perfect for energetic individuals passionate about sports who want to make a positive impact in their community.
